After reading all your valuable opinions and Dana's comment on earth tones, I went back to JcPenny.com and found a "custom" settee (same design but you can pick the different fabrics). What about these 2 options? Paisley or Plaid? or the Black and White?

Love the paisley, but if you wanted a safer bet then the plaid and include a shot of paisley color in pillows or treatments on different pieces in the room...so much fun for ya!!

hmmm-like them both. Are you going more eclectic? I like the paisley but I hate buying furniture that says 2008. If I am buying something that costs hundreds of buckaroos I go more safe. You can buy new pillows and change the look. You will be way happier with somethin' more mud colored. I promise. Oh, I have a Penney custom couch-I picked it up at a garage sale about 12 years ago. Love, love, love it.
Definately the paisley - that looks more like your classy style. Love catching up on your perfect little family - your pictures are amazing too - looks like your all settled into the White Mnt area???
